Andre DeAngelo Ellington is a professional footballer, born on February 3, 1989, in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. His nationality is American and belongs to the black ethnic background. He is playing as a running back for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League. He was considered as one of the top prospects at his position in the 2013 NFL Draft. Early Life and Education

Ellington attended Berkeley High School, where he rushed for 1,822 yards and 24 touchdowns adding four other touchdowns as a senior. He has also run for the high school track team. He scored a personal-best time of 10.97 seconds in the 100 meters at the 2006 Taco Bell Classic Meet and recorded a time of 23.13 seconds in the 200 meters.

College Career

He joined Clemson University in 2009 after completing his high school education. There he had 546 total yards in 79 touches rushing for 72 yards on nine carries against Middle Tennessee. named him second-team All-ACC during his second year in the university. He rushed for 686 yards on 118 carries and 10 touchdowns catching 12 passes for 109 yards and a touchdown. He rushed for 1,178 yards on 223 attempts scoring 11 touchdowns and caught additional 22 passes for 109 yards as a junior.

He scored 125 yards and one touchdown on 20 carries in the 2011 ACC Championship Game as the Tigers beat the Virginia Tech Hokies scoring 38-10. He rushed for 1,081 yards on 212 attempts while scoring eight touchdowns in his final season as a senior. He also caught 14 passes for 232 yards and a touchdown earning first team all-conference honors.

He completed his college career at fourth on Clemson's list of all-time rushers with 3,436 yards and finished third in rushing touchdowns with 33. He graduated from Clemson University with the degree in parks, recreation and tourism management in December 2012.

Professional Career

Arizona Cardinals selected him in the sixth round of the 2013 NFL Draft and later became a great pass protector and pass catcher for the Cardinals. There he scored his first ever career touchdown on a pass reception from Carson Palmer in the second week of the 2013 season against the Detroit Lions. He rushed for 154 yards against Atlanta Falcons in the eighth week of the 2013 season, which was the highest rushing total for the week.
