Harvey was named to the United States Women Ice Hockey U18 squad to play at the 2019 IIHF World Women's U18 Championship. With the team, she won the silver medal.

The following year, she played at the 2020 IIHF World Women's U18 Championship, representing her national side, where she was a team-high +4 in five games and won a gold medal.

Harvey committed to play her collegiate career at the Wisconsin Badgers during the 2021–22 NCAA season.

Wisconsin's head coach, Mark Johnson is very positive regarding Harvey. "KK brings a strong compete level who has proven her abilities at the highest level within her age level. She also has a lot of international experience with the U.S. under-18 team and even with the senior team as she was the youngest player at the U.S. evaluation camp earlier this year. She brings physicality and finesse to our blueline. She will be relied on to stop opponents' top forwards and contribute offensively on special teams."
