Since his childhood, Sproles grew up as a star in football and excelled in track and field as well. He attended Oregon Trail Junior High, followed by Olathe North High School in Olathe Kansas.

College & Professional Career

Sproles began his collegiate football with the Kansas State University, where he played from 2001 to 2004. He led Kansas State Wildcats football to its first Big 12 Conference Championship in 2003, a win over #1 ranked Oklahoma, 35-7. He received a degree in speech pathology.

Sproles started his career as a running back for San Diego Chargers in 2005. Upon playing 4 seasons with the team, he was picked by New Orleans Saints, where he agreed to a four-year contract worth of $14 million with the team. The contract included $6 million in guaranteed money.

Upon playing 3 seasons with New Orleans Saints, Sproles was acquired by the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for a 2014 5th-round draft pick. He signed a $4.5 million contract extension with Eagles on July 29, 2016, which will continue until Dec 2017.
