Diego Schwartzman Reaches the Final of Italian Open; His first ATP Masters 1000 final Tennis

Diego Schwartzman has reached the finals of the Italian Open on Sunda by defeating Denis Shapovalov. This is his first  ATP Masters 1000 final. Earlier he defeated Rafael Nadal in the semi-finals. He will now face World No. 1 Novak Djokovic on Monday in his first ATP Masters 1000 championship match.

The Jewish Argentine tennis star upset Denis with 6-4, 5-7, 7-6(4), and booked his place for the finals against Djokovic. He will make into the top 10 rankings if he defeats the Serbian in the finals.

"I'm very, very happy. I think today was a crazy match, it was really tough for us. On my side, I'm very happy because I have the win."

Schwartzman said after the win. He also expressed his happiness after defeating Nadal which he called the best match of his career and said:

“For sure, it’s my best match ever. I played a few times against the three big champions in tennis. I never beat them until today. I’m very happy.”

Schwartzman was born in a Jewish family in Buenos Aires. He is the first Argentine to reach the Rome final since Guillermo Coria in 2005.
