Jürgen Klopp Says Salah Might Not Be in the World Cup 2018 After Injury: Egypt More Hopeful Soccer

After suffering a shoulder injury in Last Night's 3-1 Champions League final defeat by Real Madrid, Liverpool's forward player Mohamed Salah is doubtful for the World Cup 2018, according to the club manager Juergen Klopp.

Salah is one of the superstars of Liverpool who scored 44 goals in all competitions for his team this season.

The 25-year-old pro footballer left the field in tears in the 31st minute after he fell heavily under a challenge by Los Blancos' captain Sergio Ramos.

After receiving treatment on the pitch, the Egyptian tried to continue the match but they were forced to leave the game.

However, according to a tweet posted by Egypt's FA, Salah had sprained shoulder ligaments he would be fit for next month's World Cup.

Of Salah's treatment and recovery, Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, Khaled Abd Elaziz, said on his Facebook page,

It is expected Salah will need 2 weeks for treatment. He will stay in Liverpool and will have there the rehab period then will join the Egyptian team camp in Italy.

Earlier, Klopp told a post-match news conference,

It’s a serious injury, a really serious injury. He is in the hospital for an X-ray. It’s either the collarbone or the shoulder itself. It doesn’t look good, that’s it.

He added,

We lost a very important player, like probably Egypt lost for the World Cup a very important player. I still hope it’s not like this,

Following Salah's move from AS Roma, his performances have made him Liverpool's top performer and a national hero.
