John Holland’s Bio and Early Career

John Holland Puerto Rican American nationality having Puerto Rican ethnicity. He was born on 16 November 1988 in Bronx, New York USA.

His parents, mother, Diana Mills, and father, John Holland Sr are originally from Puerto Rica and moved to the USA as an immigrant.

He did his schooling from Fordham Prep school located in Bronx, New York and was the star basketball player at the school with the average score of 16 points, eight rebounds, eight assists as well as three cheats.

John Holland’s Career

Holland joined the Boston Univesity and played for four seasons in their basketball ranks. Due to his excellent performance, he was awarded America East Conference Men Player of the Year in 2010/11 season.

After completing his graduation from the University, he moved to France and signed with French basket team, Chorale Roanne in 2011/12.

He later played for European basketball team such as Spanish basketball club, Cajasol Sevilla, the French team, BCM Gravelines as well as Turkish team, Besiktas.

After playing for several European basketball teams, he returned back to the USA and was drafted by the American basketball team, Canton Charge in 2015.

He later on signed with Boston Celtics on 11th April 2016 and was drafted back with Canton Charge in December 2016 was for his exceptional performance earned him to be named D league Impact Player of the Year.

Holland then went on to sign two separate contracts with Cleveland  Cavaliers and Canton Charge and would play for them separately by dividing his playing time with the team.

He has played along players such as Jeff Green, Lebron James as well as  Kevin Love for Cleveland Cavaliers.

On November 19, 2018, the Austin Spurs announced that they had secured the returning right to Holland and a 2019 second-round pick from the Canton Charge in exchange for Jaron Blossomgame.
