Julian Edelman is a former American football player who played entirely as a wide receiver for the New England Patriots of the National Football League. He was picked 232 with a 7th-round pick by New England Patriots in the 2009 NFL Draft. 

He is 3× Super Bowl champion (XLIX, LI, LIII), Super Bowl MVP (LIII), and New England Patriots 2010s All-Decade Team.

Most recently, Edelman dated Adriana Lima for a year from 2016 to 2017. They met each other through a mutual friend in 2016. The couple later broke up in 2017. Edelman did not want more children, but Lima wished for more which was believed to be the reason for their separation.

Edelman currently lives in Miami, Lima in Boston, and their daughter lives in L.A. In 2016 Edelman published a children's book. His other books are Edelman's book; Flying High describes a squirrel named Jules who discovers to succeed his physical limitations through hard work and the assistance of a goat named Tom.

Julian Edelman was born on May 22, 1986, in Redwood City, California as a son of Angela and Frank Edelman. His real name is Julian Francis Edelman, and he is of American nationality. He attended Woodside High School.

Julian Edelman turned professional in 2009, joining The New England Patriots of NFL, who had escorted private workouts with Edelman before the 2009 NFL Draft. The club selected him with the 27th pick of the seventh round in the NFL draft in 2007.

Edelman contracted a four-year deal with the Patriots that included a $48,700 signing bonus On July 16, 2009. He scored his first professional points on August 13, 2009, in a pre-season game against the Philadelphia Eagles. He couldn't continue the season due to his broken arm.

Edelman became a free agent after the 2012 season and re-signed his contract with New England on a one-year contract on April 10, 2013. In the 2013 NFL season, Edelman scored both of New England's touchdowns in their 23–21 win over the Buffalo Bills.

For the moment, Edelman became the NFL's all-time leader in career punt return average, with 13.0 yards per return, surpassing the 12.8-yard average of former Chicago Bear George McAfee.

He completed the season with a new career-high 1,106 receiving yards on 98 catches. Edelman reviewed a two-year, $11 million contract extension with the Patriots worth $9 million guaranteed through the 2019 season on June 8, 2017.

Following 12 seasons with the Patriots, Edelman announced  his retirement on April 12, 2021.
