Kyle Williams is an American football wide receiver who currently is not tied with any team of the NFL and is a free agent. He was included in the 2010 NFL draft straight out of Arizona State University and was picked by the San Fransico 49ers in the sixth round.

 

He has been athletic since a young age and had shown promises in baseball as well. He was drafted in the 47th round of the 2006 Major League Baseball by the Chicago White Sox. 

Kyle Williams Early Life

Kyle Williams was born as Kyle Steven Williams on July 19, 1988, in San Jose, California. His father is Kenny Williams, the executive vice president of the Chicago White Sox while his mother Ayiko Broyard is an executive with Walton Isaacson. He has two brothers, Kenny and Tyler both of them played for the minor league baseball.

He joined Plainfield Central High School and later transferred to Chaparral High School in Scottsdale. He played baseball and football in high school and was even named The Arizona Republic Big School State Player of the Year. After graduating high school, he attended Arizona State University for higher studies and played for their football team.

Kyle Williams Career

Kayle Williams name was enlisted in the 2010 NFL Draft and was picked in the 6th round with the 206th pick by the San Francisco 49ers a team where Joe Montana had achieved his fame. 2010 was William's rookie year but he was injured for the most part of it and played in five games only.

Williams performed better in the second season of his professional career in 2011. He caught his first touchdown that year and was able to catch 16 passes in a six-game stretch. Williams was released by the team on November 12, 2013.

After his release from the team, Williams next team became the Kansas City Chiefs who had claimed off Williams waivers on November 13, 2013. However, he missed the remainder of the season due to an injury. He was re-signed with the Chiefs on April 21, 2014. Williams played well in the preseason games of 2014 but injured his shoulder in the final preseason game. He was released by the Chiefs on September 1, 2014.

Williams next move would be to Denver Broncos. Injuries became a regular occurrence in Williams career as he ruptured his Achilles tendon on August 1, 2015, missing the entire season of 2015. With Broncos, Williams would get to be a part of the best moment of his career becoming part of the team that won Super Bowl 50.

He signed with the New York Jets, the team which had Geno Smith in their roster. However, Williams was waived by the Jets on August 28, 2016.
