Higo suffered his second loss against Illiarde Santos and later signed with American renowned MMA promotion, Bellator MMA.

Higo made his official debut at the Bellator in 2017 and lost a bout against Eduardo Dantas and won against Joe  Taimanglo with a unanimous decision and as of 2018 lost against Darrion Caldwell with a submission hold.
