Luis Enrique Stepped Down as the Head Coach of Spain National Team Soccer

Luis Enrique has decided to step down from the role of head coach of the Spain National Team. The news came shortly after the exit of the Spain National Team from the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup. They lost the Round of 16 matches against Morocco

Luis joined the national team in 2018, took charge in the UEFA Nations League, and has been part of the Euro 2020 and 2022 FIFA World cup. His contract would expire shortly after the World Cup, but he decided to step down pre-hand. He is not the first Head Coach to step down, as Belgium's coach Roberto Martinez cofired the exit a week ago.

Enrique started his career as a player and spent most of his life playing with La Liga Giant, Real Madrid, and Barcelona. He represented Spain in 62 matches and scored 12 international goals.

Some international sources claim Luis was sacked right before his contract expired in late Winter. The Spanish National team has already named Luis de la Fuente as the new coach and replacement for Enrique.
