Nico Musoke

Nicholas Musoke, a.k.a. Nico Musoke is a Swedish professional MMA fighter who is currently signed to Ultimate Fighting Championship under the Welterweight division. A professional since 2007, Nico has previously competed in various events including Superior Challenge, OTP, and Golden Ring.

In 2013, Nico won the Nordic MMA Award for Breakthrough Fighter of the Year.

Nico Musoke fighting career started when he followed a friend to a session which changed everything in his life and from there on he has been training and fighting. In 2005, he made his MMA career debut as an amateur on Jasper Gunnarsson in a losing effort by split decision.

Later two years, Nico made his professional debut at Shooto Finland where he faced Tomi Hietanen. He won his first pro bout via rear-naked choke in the round one. Then won consecutively won his second, third, and fourth bout against Fredrik Klingsells, Jeppe Fausing, and Premysl Nemec respectively.

UFC

Before he signed to UFC in October 2013, Nico amassed a pro record of 10-2-1 (win-loss-draw).

On 26^th October 2013, Nico made his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night: Machida vs. Munoz, where he faced Alessio Sakara. He won the fight via armbar submission. He next defeated Viscardi Andrade at UFC Fight Night: Machida vs. Mousasi.

On 28^th June 2014, Nico appeared against Kelvin Gastelum at UFC Fight Night: Swanson vs. Stephens. He lost the fight via unanimous decision.

Rebounding from lost, Nico came with a bang and kissed the belt after beating his opponent, Alexander Yakovlev in the round three. Nonetheless, he lost the following two bouts against Albert Tumenov and Bojan Velickovic.

Nico Musoke's Personal Life

Currently thirty-two years old, Nico Musoke stands six feet tall and weighs 77 kg. Moving into his personal life, the Sweden based fighter is a married man. Nico tied the knot with his girlfriend, Mariana Valiente in a secret ceremony. The two is blessed with two adorable baby boys.
