The Nigeria national football team represents Nigeria in the international football competitions and is handled by Nigeria Football Federation. It is one of the most successful African nations with three Africa Cup of Nations titles including the recent 2013. It is also known by their nickname Super Eagles.

Super Eagles of Nigeria have played six world cups so far and have passed the group stage on three occasions (1994, 1998 and 2014). It is the only African team to play the FIFA 2014 and 2018 tournaments. It has also played two confederations cup tournaments. Nigerian Team is currently ranked 44th in the FIFA World ranking while their best ever ranking was 15th in May 1994. It was ranked 72nd, their worst ever ranking in December 1964.

Vincent Enyeama and Joseph Yobo are the highest capped players having both played 101 matches. Rashidi Yekini is the highest scoring player so far with 37 goals. Nigeria has Gernot Rohr as Technical Adviser (Senior Coach) and Salisu Yusuf as Head Coach and the team captain at current is John Obi Mikel.
