Swedish National Team represents Sweden in the International football competitions and is controlled by the Swedish Football Association, the governing body for football in Sweden. Sweden is one of the Europe's best team along with England and Germany. Sweden has played in 11 editions of the FIFA World Cup and has just qualified for the 12th time.

Sweden's best ever achievement in the World Cup is finishing second in the 1958 World Cup. Sweden has also finished third twice, in 1950 and 1994. In 1938, they finished fourth. Swedeen has been participating in Euro Cup since 1992 and their best achievement is reaching the semi-final in 1992. It currently ranks 25th in the FIFA World Ranking and their best ever rank was recorded to be world's number 2 in November 1994. The lowest is 45 in 2015.

The most capped player on the Swedish national team is Anders Svensson with a total of 148 caps and he is followed by Thomas Ravelli with a total of 143 caps. The all-time top scorer for the Swedish national team is Zlatan Ibrahimović with 62 goals and he too is the captain of his national team. The head coach of the team is Janne Andersson.
Sweden finalized its way to the Russian World Cup in their 1-0 victory over Italy which knocked Italy out of the FIFA World Cup 2018.
