The Grayson Allen Era comes to an End after Duke faced a loss to Kansas in Elite 8 Basketball

Grayson Allen has ended his Duke career in a poor fashion. Duke lost a game to Kansas that would have taken them to Final four with the final score of  85-81 due to poor shooting from Allen.

During the final seconds of the Elite Eight, Duke's shooting guard, Allen received the ball which made everyone feel like it was the moment for Duke to celebrate the victory. The ball almost got inside the rim, however, bounced back eventually falling out.

This ultimately ends the Duke's season. Grayson Allen's career also comes to an end.

The score was tied 72 each with just less than 27 seconds regulation time remained which later headed to overtime.

“Yeah, that thing rolled around the rim about four times. I thought it was going in. It’s not a good feeling.”, Allen said after the defeat.

Though he had a disappointing final year, Allen was one of the most decorated College Basketball players in America. He has already been crowned an NCAA champion in 2015 as a freshman. He might look up to enter NBA and is projected to be in the second round draft.

Allen has the average of 17.2 points per game over his final three seasons.

Duke's coach Mike Krzyzewski praised Allen and said,"He’s a 2,000-point scorer. He’s a national champion. He’s been our leader this year. He’s one of the outstanding players to have ever played in our program. And you’re a shot away, a roll away from being in the Final Four".

Besides missing the final shot, Allen will also be remembered for his controversies like hip-checking an opponent and another tripping incident.
