Tony Ferguson Warns Khabib Nurmagomedov: “I’ll see you soon” MMA

Tony Ferguson has been a top fighter in the lightweight division for over a decade now. However, ‘El Cucuy’ missed several opportunities to get into the top of the division. Despite being the interim champion, he didn't get to unify the belt. His title unification fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov was scheduled for the UFC 249 but was canceled for the fifth time like 4 other occasions.

Tony then fought Justin Gaethje at UFC 249 for the interim title and lost preventing him from getting another chance to fight the lightweight champion. He wants a title fight against Khabib but hasn't found a proper opponent to earn his championship fight. He has defeated almost every top 10 lightweights and has been eying for the title fight.

Amidst the title bout between Justin and Khabib, Tony took Twitter to send a message to the champion. He posted a photo of their face-off and wrote, “Don’t worry (Khabib Nurmagomedov)…I’ll see you soon”

Tony was also rumored to fight Dustin Poirier but the fight could not be set after Dustin and UFC did not come to an agreement regarding payment. Talking to Ariel Helwani, he even revealed that he is considering moving up to the welterweight division.

What do you make of Tony wanting to move up to get a fight? If the former interim champion were to stay at lightweight, who would you like to see him fight next?
