Adalberto Penaranda made his professional debut with Deportivo La Guaira in August 2013 playing against Deportivo Táchira in a 1-3 loss. He scored his first professional goal on February 23, 2014, in a 1-4 loss against Caracas FC. He played for the club for two seasons appearing in 37 games and scored 4 goals.
Penaranda then made his move to the Serie A side Udinese on 16 June 2015 and was immediately loaned to the Spanish side, Granada.
