Early Life

Ayub Masika's birth name is Ayub Timbe Masika. He was born on September 10, 1992, in Nairobi, Kenya. Masika was born to a middle-class family and grew up along with his sibling Musa and Shaban Timbe.

Club Career

Masika began his youth football career with the Ligi Ndogo in 2004. After then, Masika joined JMG Academy for a year. Following this, Ayub Masika moved to Anderlecht in 2006 for a couple of years.

Later, Masika contracted to the Belgian football club, Beerschot A.C. in 2008. Moreover, Masika left the club after two years. Further, Masika joined the Genk in 2010 and played for a year. His outstanding performance led him to the senior team of the club.

He gave 42 appearances for the Genk and scored one goal. Following this, Masika went to Belgian professional football club, Lierse S.K. on loan from the Genk in 2014, where he played 38 games and scored eight goals.

Following, Ayub Masika signed a contract with the Lierse F.C, where he gave 20 appearances and scored six goals. Currently, Masika plays for a professional Chinese football club, Beijing Renhe F.C. as a forward player. Masika joined the club in 2017, and since then, he plays for the club.

International Career

In 2011, Ayun Masika made his international debut with the Kenyan national football team. For the Kenyan national team, he played regularly form 2012 to 2016's season.

Similarly, he played in 2015, Africa Cup of Nations qualification, 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification, 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualification and 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualification.
