Bruno Fernandes' Professional Career

Novara

On August 27, 2012, Fernandes signed for the Italian club Novara Calcio. After playing only a few weeks with the young team, he was promoted to the main squad in Serie B.

Udinese

Fernandes next signed with Udinese Calcio in a co-ownership deal in the summer of 2013. On November 3, he made his debut against Inter Milan in a 0-3 home loss.

His first goal for Udinese came on December 7, 2013,  in a 3-3 draw at S.S.C. Napoli. He played 86 games overall for ten goals.

U.C. Sampdoria

On August 16, 2016, Fernandes joined Sampdoria, signing a loan deal with an option to be signed permanently. Twelve days later, he made his league debut against Atlanta BC in a 2-1 home victory.

On September 26, 2016, he recorded his first goal side Sampdoria, in a 1-2 away loss to Cagliari Calcio.

Sporting CP

On August 28, 2017, Fernandes received the first call-up to the national side, "Portugal national team," for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Faroe Islands and Hungary, replacing Pizzi, who was injured at the time. Nonetheless, he didn't make his appearance in any of the matches.

On November 10, 2017, Fernandes made his international team debut playing alongside Pepe and Andre Silva in a 3-0 friendly victory over Saudi Arabia, replacing Manuel Fernandes. Moreover, Fernandes is also included in the national squad playing in the 2022 FIFA World Cup
