Christopher Grant Wood better-known as Chris Wood is a professional footballer from New Zealand who currently plays as a striker for English Premier League club Burnley and served as the vice-captain of New Zealand.

Chris Wood was born to Grant and Julie Wood on 7 December 1991 in Auckland, New Zealand. He is Kiwis by nationality and born in the early of December, his zodiac sign is Sagittarius.

At his early age, he landed his steps into the world of football, started his career with Cambridge FC, and then played for Waikato FC junior club for one season.

Chris Wood started his senior career Waikato FC and Hamilton Wanderers earlier playing to Premier League side West Bromwich Albion in 2009. He spent the majority of his career with West Bromwich Albion and while playing the club, he was loaned to Barnsley (2010), Brighton & Hove Albion (2010-11), Birmingham City (2011-12), Bristol City (2012), Millwall (2012), and Leicester City (2013).
