Gabriel Arturo Torres Tejada or simply known as Gabriel Torres is a professional Panamian football player who plays as a forward for  Chilean football club, Huachipato and Panama national team.

He has played for several football clubs such as Chepo, San Franciso, La Equidad, America de Cali, La Eqididad , Atletico Huila, Zamora, Colorado Rapids etc to name a few. Torres made his senior international debut for Panama  in 2005.

Gabriel Torres was born on 31 October 1988  in Panama City, Panama. He holds a Panamanian nationality and was fond of playing football since his early childhood days.

He played for several local youth clubs of Panama to pursue his career in football.

Gabriel Torres’s  Career

He started his senior playing career with the Panamian football club, Chepo in 2003 and was loaned to several football clubs such as San Francisco, La Equidad, America de Cali and Atletico Huila as part of a loan transfer from Chepo.

Torres was the part of the successful team that went on to win the Copa Rommel Fernandez in 2003.

He was later transferred to Panamanian football club, San Francisco and played for  Venezuelan football club, Zamora on two different occasions and America soccer team, Colorado Rapids.

Torres also played for Swiss professional football club, Lausanne Sport in 2016 and is currently playing for Chilean football club, Huachipato with whom he signed in 2018.

Gabriel Torres’s International  Career

After representing Panama at the 2007 FIFA World Cup U20 for U20 Panama team in Canada, he made his senior international debut for Panama against Trinidad and Tobago during the 2006 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers in October 2005.

He scored his first international goal for Panama against Guatemala in a friendly match played on 6 September 2006 and played for Panama in the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2011 and 2013.

The Panamian defender along with players such as Abdiel Arroyo and Adolfo Machado included in the preliminary Panama squad led by Felipe Baloy at the 2018 FIFA World Cup held at Russia.

As of June 2018, he has played for Panama in 68 matches and scoring 15 goals since making his debut back in 2005.
