Moriba Kourouma Kourouma, simply known as Ilaix Moriba is a Guinean professional footballer who is currently signed to RB Leipzig of Bundesliga. Earlier, he was with Barcelona. At the international level, he has played for the Spain U17 national team.
Conakry, Guinea native, Ilaix Moriba was born on 19th January 2003, under the star sign Capricorn. His mother is Guinean while his father is Liberian. He holds both Guinean and Spanish citizenship cards. He is often compared to the French central midfielder, Paul Pogba for his physicality and creativity.

After two seasons at Espanyol (2008-2010), Moriba enrolled at the youth system of Barcelona in 2010. On 10th March 2021, he played in UEFA Champions League for the first time in a 1-1 draw against Paris Saint-German.
Ilaix Moriba is transferred to RB Leipzig from Barcelona for an initial transfer fee of €16 million (£13m/$19m) but could rise to €22m (£19m/$26m) with bonuses.
Along with Spain, Ilaix is eligible for Guinea and Liberia to go internationally. On 21st August 2021, he oficially announced, he chose to play with the Guinea national team.
