Jalal Hosseini is an Iranian footballer who currently plays for National Team of Iran and Persian Gulf Pro League professional football club, Persepolis F.C.

Hosseini has been honored with Asia’s Bests (2011), Persian Gulf Pro League Defender of the Year (2006-008), (2013-2017), Persian Gulf Pro League Team of the Year (2013-2017) and Navid Manager of the Month in 2017 of November and December as well.

Hosseini is the member of the Persepolis that won Persian Gulf Pro League (2016-017) and Iranian Super Cup in 2017.

Jalal Hosseini’s Career

Hosseini began his career as a member of the Malavan U-21. On July 1, 2002, he was promoted to a senior team of Malavan where he scored 2 goals in 84 appearances.

On August 1, 2005, Jalal Hosseini was transferred to Saipa from Malavan. He became the most consistent player for the club but after making 28 full appearances and scoring one goal in the 2005-006 season he left the club.

Hosseini later represented his team at AFC Champions League. He left the club in 2009 after making 117 appearances scoring 21 goals. Along with his team, he has been honored with Persian Gulf Pro League in 2006-007.

On August 1, 2009, Hosseini signed with Sepahan and became the regular player in his first season. Before leaving the club, he scored 4 goals in 94 appearances. He was the member of the team that won Persian Gulf Pro League (2009-2012).

On July 1, 2012, Hosseini was transferred to Persepolis with the transfer fee of £900K. In February 2013, he extended his contract with the team which would keep him until 2014. Throughout his career in Persepolis, he was described as the Iran Pro League’s Best Defender.

Hosseini played 57 games and scored 2 goals before leaving the club.

On July 20, 2014, he moved to Al Ahli with a-one-year-contract. Later, he left the team in May 2015 after making 28 appearances.

Hosseini moved to Personal Gulf Pro League runners-up, Naft Tehran from AL Ahli on July 7, 2015, on a free transfer.

Jalal Hosseini made his international debut as a member of Iran’s U-23 with whom he scored 3 goals in 15 appearances. He has even represented his national team at 2006 Asian Games.

On February 7, 2007, Hosseini earned his first senior cap under the coach Air Ghalenoei against Belarus that ended in 2-2- draw. He scored his first goal over Uzbekistan at the 2007 Asian Cup.
