Nosa Igiebor is a professional football player who plays as a midfielder for Nigerian national football team and currently is playing for Cyprus football club, Anorthosis Famagusta FC. 

Before moving to Cyprus based club, he was signed to the Canadian soccer club, Vancouver Whitecaps FC. He has played with the national football team of Nigeria since 2011 and has won the African Cup of Nations 2013 with the team.

He was motivated to football since his childhood and joined the local youth ranks of Nigeria football club, Sharks FC in 1999.

Nosa Igiebor’s Professional Career

Nosa Igiebor started to play professional football joining the senior team of Sharks FC in 2005. After playing for Nigerian club, Warri Wolves FC, he signed with  Norwegian club, Lillestorm in 2009.

He was an important player for the club in the Tippeligaen league as he scored 13 goals in 67 appearances for the team.

Later, Igiebor signed and joined with Israel football club, Hapoel Tel Aviv on August 8, 2011, for a transfer fee of $1.32 million from Lillestorm and made his debut on 18 August against FK Ekranas during Europa League playoff.

He scored his first goal for the club against Maccabi Petah Tikva on 22 August 2011.

The Nigerian midfielder scoring a decisive and winning goal in the Israel State Cup Final against Maccabi Haifa on 14 May 2012.

He signed a four-year contract deal with Spanish La Liga side, Real Betis on August 24, 2012, is $ 1.48 million and scored his first goal in La Liga against  Sevilla FC on April 2013 for his club.

Nosa returned back to Israel and joined Maccabi Tel Aviv during the summer of 2014 and made his debut for the Israeli club against Maribor FC on 30 July 2014.

He was the part of the successful Maccabi Tel Aviv team that went on to win Israeli Premier League, Israel State Cup and Toto cup in 2014/15.

The Nigerian international signed with Turkish Club, Caykur Rizespor in 2017. During September 2017, Nosa signed with the Candian club,  Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
