Thirty-four years young and enthusiastic Syrian footballer, Raja Rafe began his football career with Al-Majd in 2000. Currently, the footballer plays as Striker for Al-Wahda and was the team member of Syrian national team. He is also best known as Syria’s all-time record goalscorer with 32 goals.
Raja Rafe was born on 1st of May 1983, in Jaramana, Rif Dimashq, Syria. Talking about his nationality, Rafe is a Syrian. He began his football career professionally with the Al-Majd at the age of seventeen.
Raja Rafe spent 5 years with the club Al-Majda. After that, he joined Al-Arabi and shortly after that he signed a contract to Al-Majda in 2006. In 2009, he joined Al-Wahda Mecca on loan. The following year he signed for Al-Shorta Damascus but didn’t make an appearance in a league game.
Further, he landed in Iraqi football club Zaxo in 2012. During 2012-13 seasons, he made his 27 appearances and scored 10 goals for the club. Later Rafe played from Al-Nejmeh side in Lebanese Premier League in 2013, appearing in six leagues match and scored 1 goal.
In 2014, he joined a Zakho, Dohuku, based club Zakho FC, where he appeared in 13 league matches and scored 4 goals. Similarly, he joined Al-Majd, Al-Faisaly, and arrived in Al-Wahda in 2016.
Raja Rafe joined Syria national team in 2002. On 17th December 2002, he scored his first international goal for his nation in a 4-0 win against Yemen in the “2002 Arab Nations Cup”. As well as he scored his last goal for his national team in the 6-0 win against Afghanistan in “2018 FIFA World Cup Qualification”. He has played 77 matches and scored total 32 goals for the national team till 2015.
