Ron Jans is a professional football manager and a former Dutch football player who played as a striker in the domestic league and Dutch National team. Most recently, he managed FC Cincinnati (2019-2020). Besides, he has also managed the club like SJS Stadskanaal, ACV, Achilles 1894, BVO Emmen (assistant), FC Groningen, SC Heerenveen, Standard Liège, and PEC Zwolle.

Coaching Career

Ron Jans joined FC Groningen in 2002 and was able to be the longest-serving head coach in the whole Eredivisie, being influential in the club's recent successes, including two UEFA Cup qualifications in 2005 and 2006. He was in the club 2010 serving for eight long years, he announced he will leave FC Groningen at the end of the 2009–10 season, on November 2009.

In February 2010 SC Heerenveen officially appointed Groningen coach for next season, the move was quite surprising as SC Heerenveen and FC Groningen are the greatest rivals in the Dutch Eredivisie. He was in the club for two seasons winning them a league title.

Jans later joined PEC Zwolle in 2013. He was seen impressing In his first season, he won the KNVB Cup after beating AFC Ajax 5-1 in the final, he led PEC Zwolle to the cup final once again and also winning the Johan Cruijff Schaal.
