Slaven Skeledzic is a German-Bosnian football manager who previously managed the Afghanistan national team and currently serves as a youth coordinator for Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao.
He is also a former footballer who has played as an attacker for SpVgg Bad Homburg and Usinger TSG.
Slaven Skeledzic was born on 15th of November 1971, in Vares, Yugoslavia, Bosnia. At the early age of four, Skeledzic moved along with his parents to Bad Homburg vor der Hohe, where he began his football career at the local SpVgg Bad Homburg. Further, he moved to Usinger TSG, where he played till 1999.
In 2006, Slaven Skeldzic made his professional debut as a football coach for Eintracht Frankfurt youth club. Then, after 5 years of coaching spell with the club, he joined German association football club based youth FC of Hansa Rostock.
In 2012, Skeledzic signed a contract with Hannover 96 youth team. After 2 years, he joined FSV Frankfurt youth club but was soon appointed as the coach of Afghanistan national team on 9th of February 2015. With his skill and experience, he wanted to bring the European technique of play to Afghanistan. Following his many failures, he was sacked as a coach of the national team.
For 2016-17 seasons, Skeledzic is appointed as a youth coordinator for Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao FC.
