Copenhagen

Following various youth level at F.C. Copenhagen, Delaney made his professional debut for Copenhagen in an unofficial friendly in August 2008.

In the summer break 2009, Delaney was promoted up to the main squad. He made his continental debut against FK Morgen in Champions League qualification where he also recorded a goal for Copenhagen. His first Superliga match came on 9th August 2009 against SonderjyskE.

On 6th July 2013, he signed an extended contract with the Copenhagen until 2015. At the same time, he was also assigned the jersey number 8. Then, he became the regular starter in the following seasons. He played in UEFA Championships League matches against Galatasaray, Juventus, and Real Madrid.

Again on 23rd January 2014, Delaney extended his contract until 2017. At the time, he was also prompted up to vice-captain of the team. Six months later, Delaney became a club captain.

On 16th May 2016, Delaney was named “Man of the Match” as his side won the Danish Cup final 3-2 against FC Vestsjaelland.
