He started his football career playing with his hometown club Maghreb Fez. At the age of 14, En-Nesyri switched to Am Football.

Malaga

In 2015, En-Nesyri signed his first professional contract with Málaga CF for a fee of €125,000. Initially, he was assigned to the reserved squad, he made his senior debut for the reserves on 16 April 2016, scoring the last in a 3–1 Tercera División away victory over Guadix CF.

In the following three games, En-Nesyri scored consecutive goals against CD Huetor Tajar, River Melilla CF, and FC Vilafranca respectively.

On 8th July 2016, En-Nesyri was promoted up the senior team manager Juande Ramos’ pre-season squad. On 16th July, he scored twice in a 4–0 friendly win against Algeciras CF.

On 23rd August 2016, after recording six goals during the pre-season, he penned an extension contract with the club until 2020. Later three days, he made his professional and La Liga debut, in a 2–2 away draw with RCD Espanyol, where he entered as a late substitute for Keko.

His first goal for Malaga came on 21st September 2016, in a 2–1 home triumph over SD Eibar, coming on as a substitute for Charles.

Youssef En Nesyri's International career

In 2015, En-Nesyri played seven matches representing Morocco under 20 national teams.

On 22 August 2016, he received his first call-up to the Morocco national team by Herve Renard, for friendlies against Albania and São Tomé and Príncipe. On 31st August, he made his international debut against the former, starting in a 0–0 draw at the Loro Boriçi Stadium in Shkodër.

He is named in Morocco's 23 man squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup along with his teammates Yassine Bounou, Karim El Ahmadi, and Nordin Amrabat.
